Apple has announced the dates for the Apple World Wide Developers Conference – WWDC 2012. The conference is set to take place from June 11-15 at the iconic Moscone Center in San Francisco. An guess what tickets are already sold out !  What will Apple announce at WWDC ?
Apple will be hosting a keynote at the first day WWDC during which we can expect some product announcements.We are certainly going to hear a lot about Apple’s next gen OS for Macs known as Mountain Lion. We might also get to see a glimpse of the next gen iOS for iPhones , iPads and iPod Touch.  We might certainly not see a new iPhone at this event but who knows ?

Samsung has started rolling out the new value pack for the Samsung Galaxy Tab in Korea as they announced last month in the ICS update news. This upgrade would bring Ice Cream Sandwich-like features such as Face Unlock with Face Recognition for with blinking for added security and more new features.
It would also bring ability to take pictures while shooting video and photo editor. The Gingerbread firmware update is already available in Korea for Samsung Galaxy S (including Galaxy K, Galaxy U) and Galaxy M Style.

Search House Number on iPhone and iPad- Now in India

Google has finally launched the Google Drive, and the Google Docs for Android has been re-branded asGoogle Drive that adds new features in the version 1.0.77. The free space has also been increased to 5GB and you can also upload or download all types of file to the Google Drive from the app.

Angry Birds Space is finally available for the BlackBerry PlayBook.  It features 60 interstellar levels on planets and in zero gravity. This has regular free updates brand new birds, brand new superpowers. It is cheaper by $2 compared to previous Angry Birds games for PlayBook.

Apple sold 35.1 million iPhones


Apple sold 35.1 million iPhones, 11.8 million iPads and 7.7 million iPods in Q2 2012:


Apple has reported 94% increase in Net profit Year-over-Year in their earnings for Q2 2012 that ended March 31, 2012. The company has reported a revenue of $39.2 billion with a net profit od $11.6 billion. The international sales in this quarter is 64% of the quarter’s revenue. They sold 35.1 million iPhones, 11.8 million iPads, 7.7 million iPods and  4 million Macs during the quarter.

The slimmer and refined 3D smartphone from LG the Optimus 3D Max will start rolling-out in Europe starting  from today. The phone was first showcased at MWC 2012 earlier this year in February. The original Optimus 3D phone was a bit bulky and about 12mm thick. LG have managed to shave more than 2mm off the Optimus 3D as the 3D Max is just 9.6mm thick. Airtel has launched a new 3G plan for BlackBerry postpaid customers that offers unlimited 3G internet browsing on the device. This plan also comes with 1GB of off-device (When BlackBerry device is used as a modem) 3G data free per month.
This 3G plan costs Rs. 299 per month and is a add-on pack that is available on select postpaid plans such as Rs. 599 plan (retail users), Rs. 399 plan (Business users) and BlackBerry Enterprise and Retail users ( Rs. 899 plan).

LG has unveiled White LG Optimus Vu in Korea. LG announced the Optimus Vu with 5-inch (1024 × 768 Pixels) IPS Display with 4:3 Aspect Ratio and 650 nits brightness before the MWC and launched it in Korea in March. The new White LG Optimus Vu is aimed at women and younger generation.

Sony Mobile India has announced on their Facebook page that they have started rolling out the Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for Xperia arc S, Xperia neo V and Xperia ray for consumers in India. They started rolling out the Android 4.0 update earlier this month for consumers in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Finland and Norway.
Sony announced that they would roll out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for 2011 Xperia devices starting March end, but the update was pushed to mid-April.
