Companies' revenue digitisation changing trend of tech spending: Gartner

BANGALORE: Twelve years ago technology spending outside of IT was 20 per cent of total technology spending; it will become almost 90 per cent by the end of the decade, according to Gartner, Inc.

Much of this change is being driven by the digitisationof companies' revenue and their services, the technology researcher said.

The "Nexus of Forces" is leading this transformation. The Nexus is the convergence and mutual reinforcement of social, mobile, cloud and information patterns that drive new business scenarios.

Organisations are digitising segments of business, such as moving marketing spend from analog to digital, or digitising the research and development budget.

Secondly, they are digitising how they service their clients, in order to drive higher client retention. Thirdly, they are turning digitisation into new revenue streams. Gartner analysts said this is resulting in every budget becoming an IT budget.

Nokia Lumia 610 Review

Nokia Lumia 610 Review:

Agreed, that Nokia missed the smartphone bus, and all of us can probably go on and on about it. But with the Lumia series, I believe that the Finnish giant has just taken a cab after missing the bus and is trying to get there before the party ends. And by pitching one Lumia device in almost every price segment, Nokia might just be playing the smartphone roulette.

Amid the brouhaha over juicy Apples and endless Android Galaxies, Windows Phone lay forgotten, until Nokia revived it (to an extent). We loved the interface of Windows Phone on the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710, but missed some of the apps and features that we frequently use on Android devices.
A few days ago, the entry level model, the Lumia 610 landed on Smartbuy’s test bench, and I’ve been taking some time off the Android smarties to explore a budget (almost!) Windows Phone.

Nokia Lumia 920 with PureView Press Image Leaked

Nokia Lumia 920 with PureView Press Image Leaked :

This might be the Nokia Lumia 920 , the first Nokia Windows Phone to run on Windows Phone 8 and feature PureView Camera technology. When Nokia launched the PureView 808 running on Symbian earlier this year, it was not clear why Nokia would launch a Symbian phone with latest camera technology in 2012 when it’s primary focus was on Windows Phone . Looks like we should be seeing a Nokia Windows Phone with PureView Camera technology soon. The leak talks about a 4.5 inch Lumia 920 and we can see Carl Zeiss branding on the back .

The lens and flash arrangement seems similar to the Nokia N9 and Lumia 900 and slightly different from the Lumia 800.
